Healthy Chicken and Turkey Recipes - Sautéed Sesame Chicken Breasts Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds

  • Salt

  • 3 tablespoons peanut oil

Serves 4


Method:

  1. Place a chicken breast in a large, heavy, zipper-lock bag and, using a hammer, meat tenderizer, or what-have-you, pound it until it's 1/4 inch thick. Repeat with the remaining chicken breasts.

  2. Sprinkle each side of each breast evenly with 1/2 tablespoon of sesame seeds, and lightly salt.

  3. Heat the peanut oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and sauté for about 5 minutes each side, or until lightly golden. (You may have to do this in two batches; keep the first batch warm on an oven-proof plate in the oven, on its lowest temperature setting.) Serve.
