romaine lettuce

cups torn red leaf lettuce

ripe, black avocado

tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons
lemon juice

Salt
and pepper

1/2 cup alfalfa sprouts
Serves 4
Method:
-
Combine the romaine and red leaf lettuces in a-salad
bowl, then peel the avocado and cut it into small
chunks. (It's easiest just to scoop out bits with a
spoon.) Add the avocado to the bowl.
-
Toss the salad
first with the oil, then the lemon juice, then
finally with salt and pepper to taste. Top with the
sprouts, and serve.
