Ingredients

450g/1lb eating
apples (cored and diced)

2 tablespoons
lemon juice
-
1 teaspoon sugar
-
150ml/1/4pt
mayonnaise
-
1/2 head celery (sliced)
-
50g/2oz walnuts
(chopped)

1 lettuce
Serves 4
Method:
-
Toss the diced apples in the lemon juice, sugar and
1 tablespoon of the
mayonnaise and leave to stand for about 30 minutes.
-
Just before serving, add the sliced celery,
chopped walnuts and the remaining mayonnaise, and
toss together. Serve in a bowl lined with lettuce
leaves.
