Cheese, Egg, and Cream Based Recipes - Buttered Tagliatelle with Toasted Sesame Seeds

Ingredients                       

  • 350 g/12 oz tagliatelle

  • 50 g/2 oz/1/2 cup sesame seeds

  • 100 g/4 oz/1/2 cup unsalted (sweet) butter

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

  • 50 g/2 oz/1/2 cup grated Pecorino cheese


Method:

  1. Cook the tagliatelle according to the packet directions. Drain and return to the pan.

  2. Meanwhile, dry-fry the sesame seeds until golden. Add to the pasta with the butter cut into small pieces.

  3. Toss over a gentle heat until the butter melts. Season with a little salt and lots of pepper.

  4. Toss again and sprinkle with the cheese before serving.
