Ingredients

450 g/1lb/4 cups
fettuccine

100 g/4 oz/1/2
cup
unsalted (sweet) butter

300
ml/1 1/4 cups
double (heavy) cream
-
Salt
and freshly ground black pepper
Method:

Cook
the fettuccine according to the packet directions.
Drain and return to the saucepan.

Cut the butter
into flakes and add to the pan with the cream. Stir
over a gentle heat until well coated.

Season
thoroughly with a little salt and lots of black
pepper. Serve with crusty bread and a bowl of green
olives.
