Dessert Recipes - Candy Fruit Farfalle

Ingredients

  • 900 g/3 cups milk

  • 175 g/6 oz//1 1/2 cups farfalle

  • 50 g/2 oz/1/2 cup sultanas (golden raisins)

  • 50 g/2 oz/1/2 cup multicolored glace (candied) cherries, quartered

  • 25 g/1 oz/2 tbsp light brown sugar

  • 50 g/2 oz/1/2 cup toasted hazelnuts, roughly chopped

  • 1.5 ml/1/4 tsp grated nutmeg

  • 60 ml/4 tbsp double (heavy) cream


Method:

  1. Bring the milk to the boil in a large saucepan. Add the pasta, sultanas, cherries and sugar and simmer for about 10 minutes until tender.

  2. Stir in the nuts and nutmeg. Spoon into serving bowls and drizzle with cream before serving.
