Ingredients
Method:
-
Put the rice with the salt and milk in a saucepan.
Whisk in the egg yolks.

Bring to the boil and cook
for 5 minutes or until thickened and smooth.
-
Stir in
the sugar, butter and vanilla essence. Cool
slightly. Whisk the egg whites until stiff and fold
in with a metal spoon.

Turn into 4 individual dishes
and chill until set. Decorate with whipped cream, if
liked, before serving.
