Meats Recipes - Macaroni Masterpiece

Ingredients                        

  • 100 g/4 oz/1 cup short-cut macaroni

  • 4 streaky bacon rashers (slices), diced

  • 100 g/4 oz red Leicester cheese, grated

  • 5 ml/1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

  • 25 g/1 oz/2 tbsp butter, melted

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp snipped chives


Method:

  1. Cook the macaroni according to the packet directions. Drain and return to the saucepan.

  2. Meanwhile dry-fry (sauté) the bacon until crisp and drain on kitchen paper.

  3. Add the cheese, Worcestershire sauce, a little salt and plenty of pepper to the macaroni with the butter. Toss well.

  4. Pile on to warm serving plates and sprinkle with the bacon and chives before serving.
