Recipes - Winter Wonderland
Ingredients
-
175 g/6 oz/1 1/2 cups
multicolored tagliatelle, broken
into short lengths
-
1/2 small white cabbage,
shredded
-
2 carrots, coarsely
grated
-
5 ml/1 tsp grated
onion
-
1 red-skinned eating
(dessert) apple, unpeeled and chopped
-
2 celery sticks,
sliced
-
30 ml/2 tbsp chopped
walnuts
-
30 ml/2 tbsp seedless
(pitless) raisins
-
1 small can evaporated milk
-
15 ml/1 tbsp light
brown sugar
-
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
-
5 ml/1 tsp made
mustard White wine vinegar
Method:
-
Cook the pasta according to the packet directions.
Drain, rinse with cold water and drain again.

Place
in a bowl with the cabbage, carrot, onion, apple.
celery, walnuts and raisins.

Whisk the evaporated
milk with the sugar, some salt and pepper and the
mustard. Whisk in vinegar to taste.

Pour over the
salad and toss well.
