- Sausage and Pepper Filled Deli Rolls
Ingredients
-
1 1/2 lbs. sweet Italian sausage
-
1 clove garlic, chopped
-
2 red onions, sliced thinly
-
2 red peppers, seeded and cut into thin strips
-
2 green peppers, seeded and cut into thin strips
-
3 tomatoes, chopped
-
1 tap. oregano
-
Salt and pepper
-
1 11-oz. package Pepperidge Farm Deli Rolls
Makes 6 servings
Method:
-
Slice
sausages in 1/2-inch thick crosswise slices. Fry sausage in a
skillet until brown and cooked; remove from skillet.

Add garlic,
onions and peppers to pan drippings. Sauté for 5-6 minutes or until
vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Add tomatoes and oregano and
simmer 5-6 minutes or until tomatoes are cooked. Season to taste
with salt and pepper.
-
Split roll and fill with sausage filling.
Serve at once with plenty of napkins.
