Banana and Yogurt Chile Dip

 

Ingredients

 

Serve 4-6

  • 1/2 cup/125 ml heavy/double cream

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • generous 3/4 cup/200 ml thick plain yogurt

  • salt to taste

  • 1/2 small red Chile pepper, seeded and finely sliced

  • 1 mall green Chile pepper, seeded and finely sliced


Method:

  1. Beat the cream with an electric mixer a thigh speed until thick.

  2. Mash the bananas in a medium serving bowl. carefully stir in the yogurt and cream.

  3. Season with salt and the finely chopped Chile peppers, reserving a little to garnish, and stir well.

  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Garnish with the reserved Chile pepper.

  5. Serve with tortilla chips, potato crisps, pappadams or toast.
